A.R.M. Holding, a leading investment firm in the UAE, is proud to announce its partnership with Art Dubai, the world-renowned international art fair. Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the fair will take place at Madinat Jumeirah Dubai from 3rd to 5th March 2023 with previews on 1st and 2nd March.

The collaboration between A.R.M. Holding and Art Dubai highlights the importance of and is committed to developing the art and culture ecosystem of the region. With this partnership, A.R.M. Holding and Art Dubai will work together to support and promote the growth and development of the art industry through regional and international artists, galleries, and collectors.

Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, CEO of A.R.M. This year, Art Dubai promises to welcome over 130 contemporary and modern galleries from more than 40 countries across four main gallery sections: Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba and Art Dubai Digital. It is also providing a platform to more than 30 first-time exhibitors aligning with A.R.M. Holding’s philosophy to empower and support emerging talents.

For the third edition of the Children’s Programme, A.R.M. Holding has collaborated with Swedish artist Jacob Dahlgren who processes the mundane and normal into art, to curate the workshops taking place from 2nd to 5th March. The workshops will accommodate children of differing ages and educational levels, the activities will be adapted and prepared in three formats to suit ages 5-7, 8-12 and 13-17 years. The A.R.M. Holding Children’s Programme brings together artists and designers to collaborate with local schools through bespoke workshops. Following its success at Art Dubai in March 2022, the programme has expanded to 80 schools across the seven emirates and is dedicated to expand further this year.

“Children are the future of tomorrow and as such, A.R.M. Holding launched the Children’s Programme in 2021 designed it to demystify art for young minds. Art is all about self-expression and freedom, allowing children to portray their vision and practice decision-making. With Art Dubai, we take the opportunity to empowering the future makers to see the world differently and communicate with creativity and to continue empowering the next generation through innovative programmes like the A.R.M. Children’s Programme, which will expand this year to more than 9,000 students.“

The concept for this year themed "The Flag Project" will see Jacob working with the children to demonstrate how abstract concepts are part of everyday lives. All the participants will be given striped red and white t-shirts to wear as a uniform and they will make collages in colored paper. Finally, all these different collages will be sewn together, and the children will be able to transform them into flags that they can take home.

Jacob Dahlgren commented: “Using commonplace materials from local surroundings to create art teaches children how to apply practical and creative knowledge in their day-to-day lives. “
