DREC Sponsors Sharjah Horse Race

The Dubai Real Estate Centre, an A.R.M. Holding company and the leading real estate developer in Dubai, sponsored the Sharjah Horse Race staged at the Sharjah Longines Racecourse. The race was organized by the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club and the Emirates Racing Authority and included six competitions or runs, four of which were titled after DREC landmark properties, namely Creek Tower – Dubai, Al Yasmeen, Al Ferdous and Palma Spring.

Creek Tower – Dubai, a 1200m handicap opening race for horses foaled in the UAE was won by Najem Al Rwasi, ridden by Fabrice Veron for Ahmed Al Shemaili. Al Yasmeen, a 2000m handicap race for horses foaled in the UAE, saw a stellar win for Al Jahoori and Jara with Fandim for Al Wathba Racing. Al Ferdous, a 1700m maiden race saw an unexpected turn of events with the win of Harbh Trained by Ahmed Al Mehairbi for Saif Mohd Fan Abdulla Al Mehairbia. The Palma Spring race, a 1700m maiden race for horses foaled locally, crowned Wakeel W’Rsan ridden by Richard Mullen, riding in the colours of W’Rsan Stables for Jaci Wickham.

The fifth and sixth races were held under the names of the Crown Prince of Sharjah Cup and HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup respectively.
